It’s time for all Tibetan exiles to march back into Tibet and Lhasa from Dharamsala and peaceably retake their homeland. Representatives from all the western media should march with them for their protection. Let the Chinese know the world is watching and will hold them accountable for their actions. It’s time for the Chinese to end this shameful occupation and attempt at genocide.

I went to tibet in 1998, and i think it is very peaceful. I do not know why some people want to “free” tibet.

As i know, government has been investing many many money on developing tibet.(to be frank, as a tax payer, i don’t think it is fair to other provinces, or my hometown).

I do not expect any crime there while maybe your orginization is “pushing” so many people to explore “your” idea or dream. I do not think it is their ideas.

Hope everything will be fine soon.

#4 comments on how peaceful it was in Tibet indicates a lack of historical
knowledge of this region.
All the #4 comments sound suspiciously Chinese.

Wavingmonkey: I have noticed a number of comments such as the one just called out. While I welcome opinions from both inside and outside China, I would expect them to be free of rhetoric.

What is this “I’d rather be safe than free” nonsense? The two are part of the same coin. Without the freedom to explore their ethnic and spiritual humanity, the Tibetan people are being deprived of their right to the human experience. Whether you believe the official story or not, the video from both sides depicts that this is so. I do not see a shred of the rich culture they proudly shared with the world until Chinese forces invaded. I do not see the beautiful prayer flags that grace more western houses now than they do Tibetan monuments. In short, I see a culture successfully quashed by a pretty ruthless agenda.

The saddest part of it all is that the mass media is buying into this ridiculous campaign of protesters “turning themselves in” and rebuking what they said. I don’t believe this is the truth, official or not. Coercion is not a part of the Chinese bag of tricks, it IS the bag of tricks.

While I wish only the best for both sides, it is clear to me that while some Tibetans might have used this opportunity to get the worlds attention in unsavory means, against the wishes of his Holiness the Dalai Lama, it is even more clear that the Chinese Communist Party is using THESE events as a means to character assassinate a person whose job it is to pray for peace for all of us.

china has made great deal of money out of Tibet land and exploitation of Tibetan people since then. whoever says Dalai Lama is behind all these protests, in my doubt, indirectly china is behind all these protests if china would have given autonomy long since Dalai Lama asked decades ago. China you are the responsibile for all these disturbances to the world forced give attention into todays tibet issuse. DEVILS

The question which Tibetans have to ask themselves is how are they going to confront China? Is it going to be Dalai Lama’s approach or something else? Tibetans as a community must be united at this hour. My heart goes to outr Tibetan friends.
It is time Tibetan realise that you have to fight this battle now and more or less on your own. No country is goign to confront risign power China.

My heart goes out to Tibetans.

Like Ghandi, the Tibetans have followed the Middle Path for thousands of years, under the protection of their Dalai Lamas. As such, they have been a happy, peaceful people living in a rigorous environment. As the world becomes united through such ways as the internet, our cultures merge and each of us wants the same thing: the right to speak our truth, peace, and the right to follow our own spiritual beliefs, not to mention the basics of food and lodging. The Tibetans want the same thing we all want, world-wide: FREEDOM to live our lives the way we want without persecution. The Tibetan demonstrations are warranted and timely and hopefully are making an impact on the world, bringing much needed attention. The Tibetan people, the monks and the Dalai Lama have been praying for all of us for centuries. Their prayer goes “May all beings be free from suffering and be happy.” Please, let’s give back and pray for these phenomenal people and their culture. Please spread the word to all you know, that Tibet needs freedom, NOW.

The other day, china published that Tibetans are planning to suicide attacks. On what base china publicising,is china not capable of protecting upcoming real event on august 8th, this is the real sign of fear from outside attacks. I think china is now planning to blame for tibetans if any suicidal attacks accoured. CHINA SHOW YOUR POWER ON HOW TO PROTECT EVERYONE INCLUDING UPCOMING ATHELETES AND PEOPLE OF OLYMPIC AUDIENCES AND HUMAN RIGHTS VALUE IN TIBET AND FOR CHINESE CITIZENS RATHER THAN BRUTALLY KILLINGS, UNLAWFUL SENTENCES, IMPRISONMENT INNOCENTS, DISGUISING TIBETAN PROTESTS, YOU GUYS HAVE A REAL TERROTIST ACT.

Day 25 Update from the March » Tibet Will Be Free wrote on April 3, 2008 - 6:11 pm

I really feel for the tibetans and that they should get there freedom that they deserve. The whole world should speak up against the violations that China has been inflicting.

The only thing that I would like to question is, why is it that the Dalai lama has never spoken up against genocides and attrocities that India has been inflicting on its own minority people. The sikhs have gone through so much since the indepencence of india, and got a pay back in 1984. The muslims and christians have been killed in thousands.
I say all this becuase, if a community wants others to help them, they must also speak up for others.

As a sikh I always believe that any religion or human should be allowed to practice, live and believe what ever they want. That is what human rights are.

Stop this March, Stop violance-calling.

If you want to return tibet, go and get a visa.

Your March will only cause more bleeding and have nothing to do with Non-violance Protest.
