I, too, urge every Indian citizen who is able, to stand up and do the right thing for the people and nation of Tibet. India has already done much for the Tibetans such as providing safe haven not only for Tibet’s refugees but a place where its government can function. As an American, I value freedom, justice and equality for all. Please help make the most of this golden opportunity to FREE TIBET!!

Torchbearers- This is the moment of truth. One moment in your life where you can leave a mark in history. You have a choice to either to leave a mark you’re truly proud of or one you’d like to forget.
Stand up for the truth- It takes guts!!

For Torch-bearers: i think showing support for tibet by making a succinct but firm statement before carrying the torch is a good idea. also wearing something that stands for solidarity for tibet while carrying the torch is an ok idea. But not participating in the relay does not show disapproval toward the government; it shows that you do not support the athletes. the Olympics should NOT be a platform for protest toward a government. if you want to protest in a grand manner, go to beijing (after the Olympics please) and camp out in front of the government buildings in hordes.
you should not take it out on the athletes. i’m sure athletes from all participating countries oppose the cruelty towards tibetan people but backing out of the games would not only be an insult to their fellow teammates, their coach(es) and their country but an extended insult to the athletes of other countries as well.
