Tibet is a free country. It does not belong to china. I hope the tibetian people and the rest of the free world liberate Tibet from china. Wake up and fight for freedom.
It hurts me when I see this crime. It remembers me about what happened 70 years ago here in germany. Yesterday I wrote a statement to a german website. I also like to post it here. I´m sorry that it is in geram words, but I will work on an english version after i finish this words. Ok, this is the post I made: wenn ihr einen direkten draht nach hause habt, sagt bitte euren leuten dort das sie bitte ganz schnell die aktionen in tibet beenden. entweder habt ihr da überreagiert, oder ihr seid wirklich so dumm das ihr nicht seht das das für euch ganz böse folgen auf dem gesamten restlichen planeten für viele viele jahrzehnte oder jahrhunderte. einschliesslich eurer wirtschaft, devisen etc. bedeutet wenn ihr das so durchzieht wie es zzt am naheliegensten ist lt. medienberichten die ihr selbst nicht kontrollieren könnt. hallo, wir leben im jahr 2008! internet sieht alles, liest alles und hört alles. man kann sowas nicht vertuschen, die zeiten sind seit langer zeit vorbei. jeder sieht es und liest dazu die kommentare der volksvertreter eures heimatlandes. das ist sowas von lächerlich bis peinlich. und ich denke wenn ihr euch nicht mit dem rest der welt verscherzen wollt; denkt nochmal kurz vorher bürber nach. das ist schlimmer als in deutschland vor 70 jahren (ich hoffe ihr habt das nicht auch aus euren (schul-)büchern gestrichen ? dann schaut noch mal bei google. gleich neben den fotos wie ihr auf unbewaffnete geistliche und kinder schiesst. also macht euch nicht noch lächerlicher und stellt es doch bitte ein. vielen dank jmd der einfach nur sein leben leben möchte ohne die apokalypse oder atomkieg oder sowas anschauen zu müssen. ist keine gute werbung. und die spiele ??? vergesst sie… die habt ihr seit mittwoch spätestens verloren. ihr wisst es nur noch nicht. schade um die investitionen und die arbeit der ehrlichen genossen die in rekordzeit mal wieder technische wunder vollbringen mussten. das wird lange in vielen geschichtsbüchern stehen. und ich könnte da einige parallelen erahnen.
In this video, I saw the policemen were arresting and hitting the lama and persons, but they were not Chinese policemen, they were maybe Napelese policemen. why?

After many years living and studying in both North American and European societies, I come to realise that no matter how “miraculous” economic or political progresses achieved in China, the reality in China is not sensational, thus, not new-wrothy. However, reporting the “negative” or seemingly dark sides of China can really attract audience or readers. When it comes to report China, Western media, whether they are state-owned or private-owned, they all have to survive by achieving sensation and readership. The standard of living and freedom & democracy that Chinese people are enjoying can not match that of Western societies; therefore, any progresses made there, can hardly impress westerners. As a result, western reporters can hardly resist the temptation to report negative sides to create sensation. Even when reporting good story about China, the tone always sounds boring and mixed with “buts”.
Chinese people should not be too surprised at the fact that China is portrayed in the way as it is. Above all, it is a country with unorthodox political system but with most of its people who are reasonably happy with their lives and what their government has been leading them to. Western world should allow China to break its own path, it’s a country with 1.4 billion population, 58 different ethnic groups with a bigger territory than whole Europe. Please feel comfortable with China’s emergence and it’s inevitable. If you look at 300 years ago, China was dominant in economic terms in the world; at the time, US was not born as a country. China is not really making great leap forward, it’s just recovering, I believe.
Come back to Tibet, a controversial issue. I am glad it gives a chance for the world to know how little they know about China. I forget who said it: The best way to know a country and its people is to learn their languages. I wonder how many people know Chinese languages; how many Chinese people learn and/or are learning English, French, Germany, etc. If there is a World Culture Knowledge Olympics where players from west take part in China’s events, and Chinese players taking part in west events, Chinese players surely will rule the games.
Tibetan has distinct culture and language, well respected in China. According to BBC 4 recent show, 1 Year Life in Tibet, polygamy marriage is still popular as a tradition in Tibet, which is illegal in the rest of China. How come Chinese govn’t allow that? The same show says the number of temples has gone back to what it was before cultural revolution (ending in 1976). To help Tibetans improve education, Tibetan students can enter universities with 300 marks while other students in the rest of China have to score 500+ marks in nation wide entrance exam. Tibetans are allowed to have as many kids as they want under single-child natonal policy.
Contrary to Western media, it’s free to move around in China nowadays. Tibetans should open themselves and blend with the rest of China to enjoy economic benefits of prospering China. Even Gordon/Merkel/Bush can resist that! Religion is important but life has other parts too. Tibet is not Western’s Shangri-la! God bless China and Tibet!
Born in China, educated in Chinese &Western universities,I have been living & working in America and Europe for 16+ yrs. In 1989, I was among those students to improve China politically and economically. I believe students had the right to protest, but went too far. China could have gone back to Cultural Revolution. Chinese gov’t had the right to prevent that; but, it also went too far, not as far as Western media portrayed. What did Western media & gov’t do? US state-sponsored Voice of America instigated and lied to students with news like the deaths of Primier, then Chairman, making students believe they were winning. Today, US gov’t has agency for Tibetan affairs. Should Chinese govn’t have US Aboriginal Agency or African American Agency? CIA trained Tibetan army in the 50/60s as they did for Osama. What benefits can you gain from a distablised China? Wars? Exdus of refugees to US, UK. Many anti-China protestors are paid Pro or just want to get pictures and seek political asylums!!

The March to Tibet
Tibetans living in exile in India have launched a March to Tibet as part of the Tibetan People's Uprising Movement. This historic Movement aims to revive the spirit of the Tibetan national uprising of 1959, and by engaging in nonviolent direct action, bring about an end to China's illegal occupation of Tibet.

In the mid 1960s, there was this Tibetan girl who went to school in the hills of northern India.
Her first name was Chuki. I don’t remember her full name. She was very quiet in school.
Chuki suffered epileptic fits and had to be frequently taken to the All India Medical Institute in New Delhi, for treatment.
One day someone asked her about her life in Tibet. I remember - she almost went ballistic.
Her story finally came out in a single sentence. The Chinese chained her parents, gave her a gun and asked her to shoot them.
She refused, so they shot her parents in front of her.
I’m not saying that her epilepsy was related to this incident. I’m just telling you what she said.
What a drama! I lived in India for about three years. People who lives there usally take lies and tell lies without felling guilty.
