I would like to inform you that the Polish MP’s (Tibetan Affairs Section by The Polish Parliament) sent a letter to the Chinese Ambassador in Warsaw due to the last bloody Chinese action against Tibetans in Lhasa.

This is roughly the translation of the article:

The letter appeals for the immediate end to violence in Tibet, appeals for the release of Tibetan monks from prisons and for summit talks to begin immediately between Chinese goverment and HH Dalai Lama.

“We would like to express our deepest concerns regarding recent developments in Tibet. This is also our proof of the solidarity of our sociaty with Tibetans” said the leader of the Section of Tibetan Affairs – Beata Bublewicz (PO). “We are conscious of our responsibility because of our nations history. So because of this we appeal to the Chinese government for an immediate end to violence, to free arrested monks and most importantly to go back to broken negotiations with the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama” said Bublewicz.

The MP’s letter mentions the 5th article of the Olympic Games Card, which is opposite to the Chinese activity in Tibet and recent developments.

“We are reminding China that in 2002 they promised to follow the International Standards and Criteria regarding the upholding of human rights. Due to the recent circumstances and dramatic developments in Tibet we consider it our duty to say that a boycott of the Chinese Olympic Games is very possible” said Bublewicz.
