Hello, My name is Lindsey Martin and I am from Kentucky in the United States. I heard about your struggle and the march that you all will be partaking in. You have my full support. The world is full of injustices and this is one of them. You should fight for your country back, not literally fight, but make your voice heard by marching. Take that spot light away from the Beijing Olympics. You all deserve your country back, you deserve to live humanely. You deserve so much. My roommate freshmen of college is Tibetan and lived in Nepal until she came to the US for school, but her family still lives in exile in Nepal. Tibet will always have a special place in my heart even though I have never been there or anywhere in Asia for that matter, but I would do anything if it would mean that her family could rejoin their native land of Tibet and receive the basic human rights that they are entitled to. I support all of you in all of your efforts and wish you the best of luck. If there is anything at all that I can possibly do to help please let me know. This is a cause that I strongly believe in and a cause that I would do nearly anything for. The march may be difficult and you may face obstacles but you can do it. Just keep thinking of the cause and the ultimate goal. I want to encourage you to keep going. You are making history, a new history that many will read about for years to come. I wish you the best of luck and please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you. Thank you for your bravery and courage. - Lindsey Martin

From the limited amount of knowledge that I have had about the oppression in Tibet, I am pretty convinced that what has been happening to the people in Tibet is NOT fair. The fact that China gets to host the 2008 Olympics even after her controversial role in Tibet is one of the biggest paradox of the 21st century. - Shiblee Barua

I admire your ability to stand and fight for your country, culture, people, religion, and beliefs. There is no doubt in my mind that you are fighting for a true cause and I hope that I can at least shine more light upon the oppression your people face by talking to my peers. Good luck! –Frances Buerkens

Years ago, I was inspired by the powerful words of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to dedicate myself to the Tibetan cause. I firmly believe that, if for no other reason than it would be rightly so, Tibet will find freedom soon. I am determined to see this happen within my own lifetime. And circumstances being as they are, with the arrival of the Beijing Olympics soon to come—I believe…I know, that the people of Tibet will find an end to their suffering, and the beginning of a new glorious period in its history. It shall overcome the forces which strife against it. And so I thank you, those who will undertake the long and treacherous journey back to the motherland; understand that we, your brothers and sister of the world community, will be adamantly supporting you all the way. In the name of His Holiness and the people of Tibet I pray, om mani padme hum.—Dennis K. Scalf
